On our end, we travel to Mayana’s Peak via motorcycle road trip.
As soon as you reach the Sitio Punod you can take a habal-habal ride. A motorcycle that use as mode of transportation mostly in secluded mountain areas.
The fair cost 100 pesos and will take 15-20 minutes and 40-50 minutes if it is slippery or wet due to rain fall.
If you are a nature lover and a trek and hiking enthusiast you will surely love the famous Peak in Negros Occidental the Mayana’s Peak located in Sitio Punod, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Before you can go to the mountain you have to log your name and signed a waiver that are available in the tourist desk near the mountain. There they will provide you a tour guide that will accompany you going on the top of the mountain.
Going to the top you must be physically ready and had lots of water with you, its a tough climb that some people almost lost their breath, if you get tired dont hesitate to tell to your tour guide and friends to rest to gather more energy to climb.
At the time we reach the top, the mountain was covered with a thick fog that make us wait for about half an hour to let the fog disappear, when the fog was disappeared there you can see the breathtaking view of the entire City of San Carlos.
